These are great. My favorite mug is the Oxford commas.

I’ll bite–what is an Oxford comma?

The Oxford comma is the one that comes before an ‘and’ … often also called a serial comma.

One of those things people rant about from one side of the fence or the other, but I tend to use it or not depending on whether I think about it. Or not.

Ah. They have argued about commas for as long as I’ve been alive (and probably much longer.)
I now use the Microsoft comma, which is the one my grammar checker on Word harrasses me about. I’m a horrible proof-reader and it pisses me off to see a glaring illuminated error, only to discover Word dislikes my comma usage.

I think it’s been argued about since they introduced Latin rules to English grammar.

I could fit in on “Do not annoy the writer”, and my commas are rarely the Oxford way. Not the old Swedish way either. 😀 😀
I rather use commas to make the reading easier, give breathing pauses, and to exclude misunderstandings in what is actually happening or to how many people that actually are around.
My brother Albert and me! How many? Two or three? 😀 D 😀
