There’s an anthology on Smashwords (and distributed more widely, except to Amazon) called Purpose.
In a few weeks, it’s going the way of the dinosaurs. Unpublished. It’s not that I don’t like the stories, but they’ve done their time and I’m currently looking at finding a few more shorter stories to make a new anthology.
What all this means is that if you want to read the stories, best do it soon, before it hits the fan and floats off into the ether.
No, I haven’t started any stories for the new anthology, but I have finished the stories I was aiming to submit before June 30.
The Outback Horror story for Things in the Well, due for publication in July (don’t hold me to that, but it’s what I expect at this stage).
I’ve submitted the Virgo story to Aussie Speculative Fiction, and will send the Libra story this week.
And that means an empty desk. Okay, that’s not entirely factual. Not quite a fib. Close.
It means I have to do some cleaning up of my site (or should it wait for the usual spring clean?). It means I’m emptying some trash.
It means I’m taking down the Purpose story and putting it out to pasture (not yours).
There it is. There I am. Ready to move onto the next two pieces that will become the WeesInPee.
And to keep myself from going all dopey-eyed with procrastination, I’ll start with a few short stories to create a new anthology.
Got any ideas you want me to make into a story?
Caveat: ideas are free and you won’t get credit once it’s incorporated into my story. If you don’t want to share an idea, don’t offer it. I’m only willing to look at things with no strings attached.
Ooooooh, that’s an idea. Things with no strings attached. I wonder what I could do with that?
It’s time to journal a few ideas and play around with finding the characters who want to play in the sandbox with them.
In the end, though, if you miss Purpose because I take it down in week or so, don’t say you weren’t warned. I like to clean house occasionally, and because I’m a writer, it’s a rare event but everything goes.
