(PAD #046) not fly (the eagle)

… Words are beyond my reach … why are humans so cruel?

Frank Prem Poetry

they have killed
the eagles

cannot fly

where there should be
simple majesty

the ground
is a feather
and a bone

no more
the eagle

no more kite

no more the freedom
can not

    • Me, too. Sometimes, I’m ashamed to be part of the human race. I’ve met a lot of those big birds on my travels, and they may be scary close-up, but they have a right to live, don’t they? There’s a mating pair in Canberra, and we’d walk up the hill to watch them soar in the thermals from Parliament house.
